How the L-1 visa can work for you.

The L-1 visa is a U.S. nonimmigrant visa that allows eligible international companies to transfer executives, managers, and employees with specialized knowledge to the United States. Depending on your role and business structure, you may be able to:

01

Expand your business
into the U.S

Establish a new U.S. office and relocate to oversee it while your business abroad continues to operate.

02

Transfer to your company's U.S. office

Continue your career in an executive, managerial, or specialized knowledge role.

03

Bring key employees to
the U.S.

Transfer qualified team members to help lead or support your U.S. operations.

Why Consider the L-1 Visa?

The L-1 visa offers several advantages for qualifying business owners, executives, managers, and specialized knowledge employees seeking opportunities in the United States.

No Annual Lottery

The L-1 visa is not subject to an annual cap or lottery, allowing qualified companies to file at any time during the year.

Pathway to a Green Card

The L-1 allows dual intent, so you can pursue permanent residence without jeopardizing your status. Eligible multinational managers and executives may later qualify for an EB-1C immigrant petition.

Bring Your Family

Your spouse and unmarried children under 21 may accompany you, and your spouse can also work in the U.S.
